Cabinet structure face-framed cabinets are built using a wood frame in front of the cabinet and then cam locked to the cabinet box. Front frame is designed almost flush with the cabinet box to utilize the maximum available cabinet storage space. Utilizing a frame provides support for the cabinet box which is attached to the frame. Cabinets attach the hinges and door guides to the frame itself.
Our cabinets are constructed using solid wood for the structure, doors and drawers. All full extension drawers are dovetailed for added strength. Cabinet sides and shelves are made from plywood which are coloured to match the doors – as a result the inside of the cabinet matches the outside. Cowry has modified the cabinet frame making it more durable and stable. Frame dimensions: top and bottom frame are 1 1/2” H x 1 1/2” D, the sides are 3/4” W x 1 1/2” D
